| Basketball Tournament |
Our first annual Paradise Pride Basketball Tournament was held on March 15, 2007 at Jacobson Elementary School in Rush City. |

Paradise Pride athletes and coaches marched in the Rush City Parade on July 14, 2007. |

| Paradise Pride Pontoon and Paddleboat Pirate Picnic |
On August 2, 2007 Paradise Pride athletes, families, and other crew members gathered at "Rush Lake Harbor" for grub and fellowship. All of the "mateys" departed with memories of glorious high sea adventures. |

| First Aid Instruction |
On August 16, 2007 Angie Potter provided Paradise Pride athletes with basic first aid instuction through the presentation of a video and first aid demonstrations. Each athlete was awarded a Participation Certificate and a handy small first aid kit. |

| Soccer |
We started soccer practice in June of 2007. Our season ended with a Community Soccer Tournament at Jacobson Elementary School on August 25,2007. There were 25 athletes, family members, and community members.
We had two levels of competition, including adult and youth.
The tournament ended with an awards ceremony for all participants and pizza for lunch. |

| Pinehaven |
On Monday, October 29, 2007 Paradise Pride athletes, coaches, and guests traveled to Pinehaven in Wyoming, MN for a fun-filled evening of fall activities. One of the favorites was watching a pumpkin being launched out of a cannon!! No one guessed that a pumpkin could travel that far and that fast!! |

| Floor Hockey |
This fall we played floor hockey with each athlete outfitted with all of the necessary equipment such as helmets, gloves, and leg protectors. Our season ended with our first annual Floor Hockey Tournament on Monday, December 10, 2007 in the gym at Jacobson Elementary School with a surprise visit by Santa!! Athletes were awarded medals with volunteers also being recognized for their tremendous efforts!! |

| Bowlathon at Braham Lanes and Wayne's Pro Shop |
On Thursday, December 27th Paradise Pride athletes and coaches participated in a Bowlathon at Braham Lanes. Proceeds from the Bowlathon were donated to Jacobson Elementary School in Rush City on February 1, 2008 at 2:10 p.m. A total of $560 was presented to Elementary Principal Melody Tenhoff. |

| OUR SECOND ANNUAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT!! |
Our second annual Basketball Tournament was completed on Saturday, March 15th, 2008 in the gym at Jacobson Elementary School in Rush City, MN. Thanks to all of the athletes, family members, friends, and other community members who came to participate and watch the youth and adult games. |

The fishing was great at Ray's Guide Service on Rush Lake on Thursday, June 26th!! The fishing and the weather were ideal. Many thanks to Ray, Sandy, and Jon along with our athletes, family, and other friends who helped out. |

| CHISAGO COUNTY FAIR PARADE!! |
On Saturday, July 12th, 2008 we participated in the Chisago County Fair Parade in Rush City, MN and had a windy and wonderful day!! |

| Eagles!! |
We had the opportunity on Saturday, July 19th to learn about eagles at the monthly meeting of the Rush Lake Improvement Association at Nessel Township Hall. An eagle named "Angel" along with her handler from the Wabasha Eagle Center provided a fascinating program about our national bird. |

| Square Dancing |
On Friday, August 15th we assisted in the set up for the Rush City Musical Festival. At 10:00 a.m. we performed our Square Dance and received an enthusiastic response from the audience. We paid tribute to Minnesota's 150th Birthday by singing Happy Birthday to Minnesota and then distributed 150 pieces of birthday cake to the audience members and vendors. |

| Looking "Forward" to our 2nd Annual Forward-A-Thon in 2009!! |
We just finished our 1st Annual Forward-a-Thon on Saturday, September 6th. We had a wonderful day with all of our participants, volunteers, family members, and friends. The weather was spectacular along with the wonderful lunch that the Rush City Jaycees provided. We cannot thank our two Sponsors: Operation Round-Up from East Central Energy and the Rush City Jaycees enough for their great support!! We also need to thank Amy Mell, Rush City Administrator for her input and assistance with our project!! |

Our Second Annual Bowlathon was held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Braham Lanes & Wayne's Pro Shop. Athletes, Pride Pals, parents, family members, friends, and Coaches all had a fun-filled afternoon that included a lot of laughs, pizza, pop, and prizes!! Proceeds from the Bowlathon will be presented to Melody Tenhoff, JES Principal, at our Basketball Tournament that is scheduled for Saturday, March 14th, 2009 in the gym at Jacobson Elementary School. |

Our first annual Talent Show was Thursday, April 16th in the gym at Jacobson Elementary School. We definitely have a tremendous amount of talent among our athletes, Pride Pals, parents, family members, and friends!! Talents range from violinists to guitarists to singers to dancers!! |

| Our Second Annual BigBolleyBall Tournament!! |
We completed our second annual BigBolleyBall Tournament on Thursday, April 23, 2009 in the gym at Jacobson Elementary School in Rush City, MN. An Awards Ceremony was completed following the tournament in the lunchroom at JES. In addition to awarding medals to the athletes, Pride Pals were awarded plaques for attaining their goals!! We are very very proud of our athletes and Pride Pals!! A huge thank-you needs to be extended to all of the parents, guardians, family members, friends, and other individuals who continue to offer support to the athletes and Pride Pals every week!! | Second Annual Fishing Trip with Ray on Rush Lake!! |
Our Second Annual Fishing Trip with Ray on Rush Lake provided all of us with wonderful weather, fantastic food, a few fish, and lots of laughs!! We can hardly wait until our Third Annual Fishing Trip with Ray on Rush Lake in summer 2010!! |

For the third year a group of Paradise Pride participants and volunteers marched in the Chisago County Parade on Saturday, July 18th. A huge ROAR to Donny for driving his tractor and for the use of his wonderful wagon!! |

| 2009 Rush City Music Festival!! |

On Friday, August 14th we volunteered to help in the set-up for the Rush City Music Festival. On Saturday, August 15th at 12:30 p.m. we performed our square dance routine to a very enthusiastic crowd!! After our square dancing was completed, some of our participants also entertained us with Kids' Karaoke!! The weather was great and so was our participation. |

| 2nd Annual Forward a Thon |
On Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 we completed our 2nd Annual Forward a Thon with a tremendous group of volunteers and participants. Our three new routes were awesome along with our lunch and weather!! We are already planning for our 3rd Annual Forward a Thon which will be held September 2010!! |

Audience members also thoroughly enjoyed listening to some of our very talented singers.
